Fr. Michael McGivney, founder of the Knights of Columbus,
was beatified two years ago, on October 31, 2020.

Our parish held a prayer that evening in honor of Blessed McGivney at his shrine on the ground of Ascension. 

When Fr. McGivney's Shrine was dedicated at Ascension on October 22, 2011, it was only the second one in the US. 

This summer, another new memorial to Fr. McGivney was dedicated at St. Margaret's Shrine in the Diocese of Bridgeport, Connecticut.
